The Motorola H730 bluetooth headset that worked so well with my Blackberry does not with my new Samsung Skyrocket. It will pair so I can speak and listen but I am not able to initiate calls from the headset. Any suggestions?

I assume you were using a voice activated feature of the Blackberry... Can you use voice activated features on the Skyrocket without using the headset?

does the headset give you a tone when you press the call button?

Yes, but not the proper tone - just a double beep and then nothing - no connection to voice activation.
