Text message error "uncaught exception: string index out of range: 31"

I'm receiving an error message when trying to get my test messages;

"uncaught exception: string index out of range:31"

I seem to be receiving text messages OK, I can not retrieve the messages.

Anyone have any idea's?

try power cycling it to see if that helps, normally uncaught exceptions are software issues. which means you may need to reload the software on the bb.
