Trying to send text message I get a protocol error message with no reason

Trying to send text message I get a protocol error message with no reason.  I have 25 of these in my outbox and have no idea why they are not being sent.

I had a similar issue with my bb. I changed the "network to send over" setting and that fixed it. What kind of phone are you using?
