I need help with my IMO program not recognizing my account number as valid.

I have been an AT&T customer for about 9 or 10 years now, and now I'm working at an Apple Store and heard about getting in on the IMO discount program.  I have already been approved through the IMO portal for a user ID and password, but now when I try to add my phone number and account number it gives me an error saying, "Only active users are allowed to enroll in the program Please contact your local AT&T field account representative for assistance." I went into my local AT&T store and they said that I need a proof of working at the store to go forward, which I have, but I'm thinking there might still be something else wrong with this since I already went through my work's email to get this far - proving that I do work for Apple.  Is there maybe just something wrong with my actual AT&T account that is holding me back from adding my cell number to the IMO account I already have? I'd like to start using the IMO account discount for my wireless service.
