No Visual Voice Mail on FirstNet

I have a new S10 and since I activated it, I have not been able to use Visual Voice Mail.  When I open the app, I get the message "Visual Voicemail can't be activated on this mobile network.  contact your service provider for more information"  I stopped by the ATT store and they tried several different things, including a new sim, without success.  They suggested I try 611, but they are closed today.  Any suggestions?

@tm2924  Read an article that you have to call Firstnet to have them setup visual voicemail. Phone number is  800-574-7000 and in the Reddit link below.

So,  Here is the rest of the story.  I called FirstNet customer service and spent an hour trying to figure it out.  His next step was to clear all the data off the phone an start over.  I really didn't want to do that, so he said to head back to the store.  I stopped by the ATT store this morning, explained my problem.  The rep states since I didn't buy the phone from ATT (I bought an unlocked phone from Samsung directly) that it was programmed differently and there was no way to have Visual Voicemail using a FirstNet sim card.

So here is the rest of the story.  I spent almost an hour on with FirstNet last night without success.  The rep suggested that I try the store again.  Stopped by the ATT store this morning, explained my problem.  I was told that Visual Voicemail was not available on my phone (an unlocked S10 purchased directly from Samsung) because ATT S10 has different programming.   So it looks like I am out of luck.

Yeah firstnet requires a ATT branded phone.  You also wont get wifi calling and video calling either.

The VVM app won’t work?

(Works fine on pixel 3 xl on regular At&t account.  )

@Fl_retire I can verify that calling that number worked for me.

I was able to setup my Visual Voicemail after approximately 5 minutes of being on the line.

I have an AT&T-provided Iphone XR, unjailbroken.

The Visual Voicemail service was immediately available upon activation, no restart or closing and reopening of the Phone App required.

Activating the Visual Voicemail Service was also free of charge, no rise in monthly rate or flat fee present.

The representatives I spoke to seem rather professional, knowledgable, and understanding. They provide excellent customer service.

I highly recommend calling that number at 800-574-7000 as @Fl_retire advised.

Soooo here Is what I found out by calling FirstNet tech support (Edited per community guidelines). My data plan is Not provisioned for visual voicemail, however since it is a free feature she could Provision it to my account. All I need to do was

1)power off the phone

2)power back on

3)go to the phone app

4)tap on the voicemail tab at the bottom

5) it will then ask for voicemail passcode

6) Re-enter passcode

WaLa my voicemails all appeared in text!1Letitbe6

***note; The technician told me when I powered my phone back on to go to the keypad and hold down on the number one button when I did this it kept saying call failed that’s when I went to the voicemail tab at the bottom of the phone app page and that’s what made it work she immediately called me back to verify visual voicemail

***note 2 when I called (Edited per community guidelines) The technician was very nice obviously was searching it in her computer but then politely told me that this feature was not available through first net but that I could call tech service to see if they could help. Which is what I did.
