agnfilt bsod with AT&T Global Network Client and Linksys 4200 router

I have a work laptop ThinkPad with Windows XP.  I use AT&T Global Network Client 7.7.1 VPN to access my company's network from home.  I had no problems at all until our old router died and we installed a new Linksys 4200.  The two desktops we are using with the new router have no problems, but I started getting the BSOD on the work laptop from day one.  The problem seems to be with agnfilt.sys.  Linksys says the problem is with my laptop.  The  BSOD's appear randomly, sometimes in spurts, sometimes hours apart.

When I use the same laptop at work, using a docking station, I don't have any problems.

I am attaching the latest minidump.  I had to rename it .txt because it wouldn't accept 'dmp.'  Can anyone help?  They want to rebuild my laptop but I am not convinced that is going to help.  Thanks!

Hmm. Take a look at http://bizcommunity.att.com/t5/Windows-Clients/agnfilt-sys-bsod-in-8-6-0-3006/td-p/2720

I have a linksys wrt160n v3 router that I use from home - and I've mostly noticed these ATT bsods at home (cant remember getting a bsod elsewhere, but I've started using ATT as backup to an alternate, slower vpn solution my workplace uses inhouse)

Thanks for the reply.  I had seen that thread but I didn't see a specific solution in it.  Can you tell me exactly what you did?  I just got another BSOD and it is driving me nuts.

Received about 10 of these bsod's yesterday while trying to troubleshoot another problem with six people from one of our vendors looking on.  Any help out there from AT&T???  Is there a new driver I can install?  Mine is from 2009.  What about a more recent release of AT&T Global Dialer?  Any suggestions at all???

I have had this same issue with multiple ATT versions including the most recent (8.9.x) installed a couple of days back.  No reply to a ticket I've had open with ATT for months ..

Meanwhile, I haven't been able to reproduce this outside my home environment with a linksys wrt 160n v3 - but that doesn't mean it wont ever occur elsewhere .. even on my home router, the bsod is sporadic and I can go for hours without one.

So I'd like some clear indication from ATT as to whether this is because of some incompatibility with linksys, before I decide to junk my existing router and buy a new one that's some other brand .. dlink, belkin or whatever.

A reply to that open ticket I have would be lovely as a matter of fact ..

I finally went out and bought a Belkin (Surf 300N / F7D2301) to replace my existing Linksys WRT160N V3.  The BSODs just stopped.

I didn't have any ATT Netclient BSOD issues with my old Linksys WRT54G which got bricked in a firmware update some months back so that I got a newer Linksys .. the BSODs started immediately.

Now, in the last 2 days after replacing my Linksys, I haven't had a single BSOD yet.

The ticket that I raised (below) didn't get a single reply from ATT support since mid september when someone called me midnight my time and said he'd escalate it to another team .. in any case I'll just tell them they can do whatever with the ticket now (hopefully, escalate this to dev as an incompatibility + bug with probably the most popular wifi router on the market)

Ticket # 144036915 agnfilt.sys repeat BSOD across multiple versions

I resolved my problem by logging into our 'guest network' .  I noticed that, on the laptop only, my home network showed up twice. in Access Connections  I suspect this is because it is a dual band router.  I wondered if that might be causing the problem, so I logged into the guest netowork, which only appeared once and I have had no dropped connections or blue screens since I did that.
