AT&T disconnecting all the time
Hi, I'm facing an issue for a long time. When I'm working from home with my AT&T client, it's disconnecting all the time, like 5-6 times during 1 hour (this time, I have 11th disconnection during last hour). Every time, I see a message 'The VPN server connection has been restored using Wi-Fi'. When this happens, all web sites and internet are working correctly, but my company chat client (Sametime) is disconnected and also my virtual machine and all programs are disconnected. It's nice that vpn connection was restored, but only way I can continue in my work is to disconnect and again connect to my AT&T network client so it's really difficult to work this way. Any suggestions please?

Does this issue happen when working at other locations or just from home? Can you please upload the support logs so we can investigate further?
Open the AT&T Global Network Client, click on Help and Create Support Log. Please select upload, fill out the form and submit.
Please use "forum" as ticket number.
Thank you.

Will it allow you to send the zip file by email? I will send you a private message on where to email the logs.
Thank you.

Hello, same problem here. Is there any solution for this? The only additional thing I can say that I have new internet provider - O2 over 4G LTE. Strange is, that only the AT&T has troubles 'The VPN server connection has been restored using Wi-Fi'. or 'The VPN server connection has been restored using Ethernet'. My Sametime is disconnected etc. but my network is still working OK - which means I can browse internet, videos, make backups, uploads etc.

Hi, I'm facing with an issue when working at home. Every 2-3 minutes it just disconnects me. I'm using wi-fi connection, tried to update to the latest version, also used another connection, not at home and the problem also appears. There are no messages, just before disconnecting client says "preparing for disconnection" and that's all. What it can be? How can I fix this problem?

I to am experiencing this. I've been using Gigabit fiber for 3 years now. This only began in the last 1 month. I did go to Starbucks and connected to their wifi and then connected to my VPN. No reconnects what so ever. What would have changed in the last month to cause this awful reconnect issue? Very difficult to work under these conditions, when you need to access internal tools.

Hi Folks, I finally got mine fixed. Wow what a relief. I followed this article. Ultimately you can try turning off IPv6 on your wifi connection.
System Preferences > Wi-Fi > Advanced > TCP/IP
- Configure IPv6 - Link-local only.
- OR for older macs there's an option to turn IPv6 off.

Hope this helps a few people. Cheers.

Hi Dear,
Problem: The problem was with McAfee Firewall settings which was not authenticating AT&T NetClient.exe file hash #signature's. McAfee firewall first allow AT&T connection to establish but in the back end Firewall was keep searching to authenticate valid hash signature's. After not been able to validate the hash signature's McAfee firewall treated the establish connection as unsecured connection and therefore, disconnect after every 1-2 mins.
Solution:
- First AT&T NetClient.exe (Path C:\Program Files (x86)\AT&T Global Network Client NetClient.exe) has to be added into trusted executable list of McAfee firewall rules. (Or check your own AV Firewall rules and add NetClient.exe into trusted executed)
- Second, McAfee Firewall settings has to allow Enable Digital Signature (by default Its Signed by) to authenticate the #signatures.
Hope this solution works for you! Cheers!
Apologies to ease the solution I was trying upload the screen shots but its not getting pasted here :(.
