Can't connect via RDP to Machine running VPN client
Hi please,
can anyone help, before my company rolled out the AT&T global Network Client I used to be able to RDP to my work laptop from my home PC which has dual monitors shared mouse and keyboard etc. which was the perfect solution for my job in remote technical support allowing me to access my home PC and work PC at the same time copy files back and forth etc. Now as soon as I connect via the client it kills my RDP session. The old VPN connection we used to use was client less. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS. I have tried other methods instead of RDP e.g. Logmein VNC etc but due to the laptops maximum screen resolution I end up getting a small windowed screen in my large monitor which kind of defeats the object.
Thanks

Can you please attach the support logs to this post so we can review how your account is setup so we can assist further?
Open the AT&T Global Network Client, Click Help and Create Support Log.
Than you.

Yes, RDP is possible but you will have to Disable the AT&T Firewall.
This can be done by submitting a request through Business Direct to disable the AT&T Firewall for your Account and UserID.
You should discuss with your company to find out who is authorized to make this request through Business Direct.
Thank you.

Thanks For the information I will raise it with our IT support desk although I suspect diabling the firewall maybe against some sort of company policy but I can but try I will feedback accordingly.

Hi DBear11, thanks for the information.
However, this is happening even when the VPN client is not running (installed but not running).
I tried de-installing the VPN and that "resolves" the issue, but I need the VPN installed again. Is there any way to disable the firewall locally, when the VPN client is not running?
