VPN Ports

by awisbey » Fri Aug 20, 2010 9:46 amIs there a way to change the ports used e.g. 500, 4500 ? I use VPN from home but also use Vodafone Sure Signal (which itself used VPN) and it seems you can't run them together as the router doesn't know where to forward the incoming request for that port.

I would have 1 VPN Tunnel established on port 500 and when I would attempt to connect another on the same port, the first tunnel would get knocked down and the 2nd would not connect.Turned out my router was not doing P.A.T. by obrion » Mon Sep 13, 2010 3:43 pmMany routers have a feature called something like 'VPN Passthrough' which you may need to enable or disable.The other option you can try is to use ephemeral source ports by selecting that option in the Preferences in the client.Robert
