setting ringtones on a htc inspire
My htc inspire will only play the default ringtone. it will not play the tones that i have set in my contacts. when people call it only plays the default. it will not play the tone i have set for them. why is this??

I assume you followed these steps in this video on setting ringtones on HTC Inspire? if so I would double check the profile you are using and that any of the settings don't conflict with your contact ringtones.

HTC Inspire uses android operating system so you can change ringtones easily.
- Open settings -> Ringtones & Vibrates -> Ringtone -> SIM -> Select ringtone in the list or you can press the plus icon. You can choose an MP3 file in memory or download a free ringtone from the internet

There are several possible reasons why the HTC Inspire only plays the default ringtone. Please check your personal settings in your contacts, make sure the volume is correct, and try restarting your phone. If the problem persists, check the software and, if necessary, contact technical support or a warranty center.
