NIC and wifi showing only local connectivity after uninstalling Communication Manager
We have a user who no longer uses their AT&T wireless device and removed the AT&T Communication Manager software. After uninstalling it, the machine will not connect by either wired or wifi. The connections both show local access only, no connectivity to the internet. The only way found to resolve the issue is to reinstall the Com Mgr.
Has anyone else come across this?
We're going to try the clean uninstall utility next. If that fails maybe install the latest Com Mgr then uninstall, hoping it will leave Windows in a better state.

Thank you for using the Business Forums from AT&T. Although your post does not specifically mention which operating system you are using the error you mentioned is usually associated with Windows Vista computers.
Generally this error occurs when multiple connections are configured on the computer. Please see the following links for help with troubleshooting this issue:
In your post you mentioned that you would be attempting the clean uninstall of AT&T Communication Manager. If you need assistance with performing this step please see the following article.
If all these troubleshooting steps do not correct the issue you can attempt to remove the 3G modem from the device manager to correct the issue.

Thanks. This is a Win 7 Enterprise machine. The user left for vacation but I'll post back when we get confirmation of resolution.
