SYN248 Gateway ID is wrong

We had the SB35010 gateway for about 3 months before it started buzzing on incoming calls and then dropping them. We purchased another gateway and replaced the first one. I am unable to change the ID to lines 1-4 pickup. It sees the lines as 5-8 and am unable to change them. I even reset the 2nd one back to factory and imported a backup- same useless 5-8 lines. What can be done?

Thanks Brandon

I am having this same exact problem.  Had a lightning strike take out telephone port 4 on our first SB35010.  Got a brand new replacement.  Thought it would be an easy swap and attempted to backup system configs from the old and install it on the new replacement but the as soon as the new gateway gets connected to the network it automatically assigns itself as "PSTN GW-2" with lines 5-8.  Have tried deleting the first gateway "PSTN GW-1" and disconnecting it from the network.  Have also tried resetting the new gateway to factory defaults by holding the reset button for more than 5 seconds and even trying a 30-30-30 reset.  Neither attempt worked.  As soon as the gateway gets connected to the network that the phones are on, it reverts to the "PSTN GW-2" name and line 5-8 designations.  One other thing I noticed is that when I attempt to change the line names on the new gateway, it says that the names I have chosen are already in use.  They were the names on the original gateway, that was supposed to be deleted.  Please help!
