To unsync email so that your yahoo email won't also go to your att.net email account

Hi,

About two months ago, my yahoo.com email starting also going into my att.net email account.

As far as I know, it did that all by itself. I've read about others having similar issues. I'm just posting my workaround here

as I could find no other fix other than to delete the att.net email account, which I did not want to do. The problem is that

my yahoo.com account is business and my att.net account is personal and I ended up replying to business emails coming

from my personal account when I was paying strict attention. That the emails were getting mixed is really an irresponsible thing

to begin with but below is how I worked around it.

THE WORKAROUND:

In my att.net webmail, I created a filter so that any email in the To/CC fields that have my yahoo.com email address

in them goes into the trash before it reaches the inbox. Once set up, this also works for all other email clients like my phone.

Log into att.com, then click "Check Email" to get into the att webmail account,

then on top right to the right of your name, click the down arrow

next to "Account Info" and choose Settings, then click GO,

then click on Filters then, Add new filter, provide a filter name,

then in the second row that says To/CC leave the keyword "contains" set as is

and then type in your yahoo.com email address that you want filtered out of your att.net email,

then at the bottom, select "Then move the message to this folder" and select Trash., then click the SAVE button.

Hope that helps.
