I've searched many past threads and been on the phone with customer support for literally hours and no one seems to have an answer. I know I'm not the only one with this problem because I see the old threads with no resolution!
I CAN send texts to anyone. I CANNOT receive text messages from Andriod devices on Verizon. All other carriers work. HOWEVER... if the Verizon devices attach a picture or respond as part of a group message it will come through.
I'm on an Apple XR and ported this number over from Verizon. My husband switched at the same time and has no issues.

Good morning @neub0027,
Allow us to lend a helping hand. We have a few recommendations that might help fix your issue.
Try deleting/re-adding the Verizon contact. Also try walking through some troubleshooting steps in our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool. Just select your device and the issue that you're experiencing.
If that doesn't help, we recommend performing a Factory reset. A factory reset will wipe all of your personal data so be sure to back up your device prior to the reset. Thanks for reaching out to us.

Thanks for your feedback @neub0027!
We understand how frustrating it may be when trying to send/receive text messages from iPhone and android in vice versa from different carriers.
We would recommend resetting your network settings by tapping: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone to make sure that your message settings are turned on correctly.
I would also recommend disabling iMessage on your phone and test the SMS messages from the specific phone number that is having issues. Make sure that SMS is enabled on your cellphone. You can also try out a text message by typing the word TEST to 151 to check for a response. If you do get a response, then that means your messages work.

Thank you for that information, @neub0027.
Is your device an AT&T or Verizon iPhone? Did this issue start immediately after you ported over? Have you tried replacing your sim card? Please let us know.

It’s an AT&T phone and it started immediately. The messages didn’t work straight from the start.
I’ve tried 3 new SIM cards. 2 were on the FirstNet plan and 1 on the consumer network. I was lead to believe that it was a FirstNet issue and that switching to consumer would fix it. I switched and it has not.
I tried my original FirstNet SIM in my husbands phone and had the same issue. I then tried his SIM in my phone and he was able to send and receive normally. This lead us to believe it was the SIM which is when I got the first new one.
