Directv Systems keeps resetting itself at least twice per day
For the last couple of months our directv system has began to reset itself for no reason at least twice per day. It messes up our DVR recordings when it does this and it is very annoying when we are trying to watch tv. It always seems to happen when we are watching the news or a good movie. What is causing this and what can we do to fix it?

What model DTV receiver do you have?
How old is the DTV receiver?
Do you have the DTV receiver plugged into a surge protector or directly to an outlet?
We suggest that you check all the power cables to make sure they are connected tightly and correctly.
