Change password for Global Network Client - IBMer on windows 10

Hello Guys,

I have been using the ATT net client for many years and was able to get it installed and working on my new windows 10 box.

However, my password is about to expire and after startup the program prompts me:

"Your password will epxre in 3 day(s). You must change your
password before it expires or your user ID will not be able to
connect to the network

Would you like to change your password now?"

[yes] [no]

-
If I click on the [yes] button it closes out the network client, but does not prompt me for any form
of password change. I can only hope this will prompt me when it actually expires.

I would like to get this password changed before it expires if possible, is there somewhere
I can do that?

- version:
AT&T Global Network Client
Version 9.8.3.3003

thanks

Hello,
Can you please click Connect and make sure the Save Password option is not checked.

Once at that screen, please click the "change" button and see if it allows you to
change the password.   Please let us know if you receive any errors/issues from this screen.

Thank you.

Worked like a champ!

now .. if I can only remember this trick in 90 days when it expires again will be the real question

Thanks for the quick answer DBear11!

I have the exact same problem.

When I try the stated solution, uncheck the 'use saved password' option, yes, on the login dialog there is a 'change' button to change the password.

But, selecting 'change' also causes AGNC to crash and close.

Password expires in 4 days and having AGNC crash when attempting to change it has me very worried.

I have identical issue, the AT&T Net client will crash after I changed the password. I live in Australia, and IBM Help Desk does not support AT&T Net client. What can I get this issue fixed. I have 2-3 more days to change password.

Hi,

Thanks for your update. I am working in Australia, not convenient to call an international phone call at a very unfriendly time. Do you have any softcopy instruction that I can follow to bypass or fix this issue.

my at&t version 9.9 was also crashing when trying to change the password. Uncheck Save password.. but still crashing.. I'd uninstall this version  and downgrade  to version 9.8.3 and it work now..  I'm on win10 version 1809. Do you know when that patch will be released?

Hello,

This is actually a fix that allows Administrators to prevent users from saving passwords.

See version history:

https://www.corp.att.com/agnc/wp-content/themes/agnc/windows/versionhistory.pdf

You can send me a private message by clicking on my name and select Send PM.

Thank you.
