First net is a slap in the face scam

FirstNet is a total scam- and what a slap in the face to first responders! I was told I could switch from my regular ATT account and sign up for first net, get a “free” Apple Watch plus a 4th line and have my payments be slightly less than what I was paying for two lines. I kept asking the manger if the ATT store what the catch was because it seemed too good to be true. He kept assuring me it was real and a way to say thank you for being a first responder. Fast forward 4 months and and a couple visits to the ATT store to try and sort my bill out.. and I’m still being charged way more than I ever have paid. Im so done. I will be going back to cancel this account and switch to something entirely different such as T-Mobile or Verizon.. as well as post on my union page to warn all other nurses I work with to steer clear fromATT. This is so upsetting that I waste my days off from work dealing with this. It’s demoralizing. Thanks for nothing ATT. Crooks.

I got scammed as well, I was told my monthly would not change and if I buy a watch I get a free one. He did not mention I would be billed $150 a month from another vendor. Now I pay two places. Unfortunately I didn’t catch it because it was eft. Payments! Total SCAM

AT&T and I came to a mutual agreement and satisfactory resolution. Our family has been a loyal AT&T user for over 15 years and It was extremely hard for me to reach out to social media and the government agency to voice my concerns. I tried over a year to resolve the problem on my own in the retail setting. I'm happy to report that we will continue to be generational AT&T users well into the future. I hope that more retail training is done to better explain new programs and be transparent on all costs involved especially if you have multiple lines. Thank you AT&T.. Thank you OOTP!

I joined First Net when I was attempting to switch from ATT to another carrier and was "Sold" on First Net at the ATT store when I went there to set up a transfer PIN. Volunteer FF. I had to go to the store because the ATT customer service was useless in helping with this process.

The good:

Customer service is excellent. They answer immediately or within a very short time if put in a queue.

The bad:

First off the price is not that good. $39.00 plus taxes and fees It is very close to the top of cell service cost and does not even include 5G in this  lowest cost level. If they really wanted to support First Responders they would offer a lower cost (Maybe 1/2 price) and include 5G. Sorry ATT, not all first responders are wealthy.

Then I received my first bill, the price I was promised at the ATT store was not honored. I went back to the store and the manager said to be patient as it takes time for the deal to catch up. After a few more months of the same high price I called ATT again. Luckily I kept the photo copy flyer the store manager gave me as proof and I scanned it in to them. Finally First Net did honor the 6 month price.

The cell tower (multiple vendors) is very close to me all on a power high tension tower, and usually I get 5 bars, as does my wife with Verizon. During a recent area multiple day power outage after less then a day I totally lost my ATT service.

My wife's Verizon phone never failed. Not good for first responders who have cell dispatch as a backup.

I called ATT when service returned they simply stated they cannot control service during a prolonged power outage. Maybe they need to talk with Verizon to learn how to do this. I believe they have a generator at the tower base.

I finally dumped First Net as there is no real advantage for a first responder here. There are much better deals out there.

I feel it is just a false promise to get more business.

It is a shame they prey on unsuspecting first responders to gain market share.

After consideration I will probably be moving to another carrier, Trying to get away from the first net scam has been such a pain and when they actually fixed it and moved my phone back away from first net they raised my monthly rates, They tote this first Net like it's the second coming, What they are saying is if your a customer and pay more you will have better service than our regular customers in the event of a nuclear meltdown, Sad gimmick. If it ever comes to this where you actually need communications in a disaster get a HAM radio and a CB

"They tote this first Net like it's the second coming."

The fact ATT (First Net) cannot provide cell service after less then 24 hours into a power outage dispels this myth.

I did receive  a voice message that they want to speak with me. I don't know why. The deal is closed.

I am no longer a First Net or ATT customer, and will never ever be one again.

Does anyone have that Flyer showing the FirstNet Free Watch Promo?

Gasman59 mentioned he had to send it in to show the prices, and while I know I took a photo of it or had the flyer myself I can't find it anywhere!

Gasman59 can you post the flyer so I can screenshot it?

Thanks...

I'm in healthcare and got scammed as well and am still paying for that watch!

Thank you...

Why can't I post directly to a comment to Gasman59? I'm new to this forum and a duped First Net Free Watch Scam Fool!

Help!

Gasman59 can you post the flyer to the free watch?

Thanks.
