cannot cancel dial up internet service

To whom it may concern:

 

my name is Angela morris and i don't know who else to contact. I have been trying to cancel my dial up internet service since January, i repeat since JANUARY. I AM BEING CHARGED $22.95 A MONTH AND I AM NOT GOING TO PAY IT. My current bill shows a balance of $248.and which is the internet service that i can't get canceled. now i don't know what else to do but contact the corporate office. i had dial up for years and tried to get DSL but it never came available in my area or at least not with bellsouth or att. i heard direct tv had a broadband satellite service. i contacted them and had it installed and was told i could get the satellite,broadband and my telephone service for $104.00. a mth. now i haven't seen a $104.00 bill since i started and att had told me that also.the dialup was suppose to be cancelled and with direct tv and my regular phone sevice the bundle bill was suppose to be 69.00. WELL I HAVEN'T SEEN THAT BILL EITHER!!!!! I paid for all the services for a couple of months but i refuse to pay a service i donot use!!! now do youthink YOU can get it cancelled? i demand that the $248.00 be taken off my bill! i am also getting direct tv taken off that so called bundle. if you fixed it where when you called you actually talked to a person also the antimated service wouldn't let me through until the bill was paid and i refuse to pay it. your response is needed immediately!

I'm on day three and have over 6 hours on hold and transfers like a tennis ball throughout the ATT "system". I stil have NOT been connected to ANYBODY that has the capability to cancell my **bleep** monthly charge for ATT dial-up.

 

 

Is the only way to fix this to disput the charges with your financial institution??????

 

What the HELL!!! ATT?????

 

This is the [edited] that makes folks want to ******** something in somebody's parking spot.....

I am so frustrated.  I have been on hold all morning--snce 7 am trying to cancel my dial-up internet with att.  I have been given the run around like crazy and I think I am now also going to dispute the charges through my bank rather than getting this incredible run-around.  I feel like ATT is trying to rip me off!!  Can anyone direct me to a direct number or give me an address I can send a letter to to cancel my dial up internet?  This is almost unethical.

Far as I know, no body has ever called me or contacted me. This continues to be a rip-off and nusiance charge to my account..

I have never been more frustrated in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I need to cancel my subscription and have spent 3 days getting transferd to every customer service fool in the world. I am currently on hold for the last 3 hours. Please give me direction on how to stop getting charged 18.00 a month.

I am in the same boat, cannot cancel my dial up service, initally, I kept it because I wanted to keep my email address,

lleitz@prodigy.net, but have been trying to cancel it for some time. Since the dial up account was opened so long ago, I never had a phone number associated with it, all I have is the email address and proof that I am billed every month.  I received an email today that the rate was going up from $24.95 to $29.95....so once again I stayed on the phone for hours trying to get it cancelled and not to be billed anymore but had no luck. I do not exist, but am wondering how I am emailed and billed every month!!! please help!!!!
