WhatsApp/WahtsApp Business account registration problems

I am writing to express a concern regarding an issue I am facing with my recently purchased AT&T business number. I have been unable to register a WhatsApp/WhatsApp Business account with this number.

After spending several hours attempting to register and conducting research, it has become evident that the issue may stem from the business number itself. It is possible that this number was previously utilized by other businesses or for scam calls. As a result, WhatsApp does not send confirmation codes to this number.

Given this situation, I have two primary inquiries:

1. How can I change my current AT&T business number?
2. Is there a way to verify in advance that the new AT&T business number will be eligible for registration with WhatsApp Business?
