AT&T Services Inc. illegally accessed my Equifax credit report with hard checks 3 times

I attempted to order AT&T internet & television, first for three weeks our apt number was blocked. The sales office kept lying to us and gave us all kinds of excuses why that I could not order this service on the website. Then on June 19, I finally got someone in the sales office who claimed our apt number was unblocked and we could order service. The person stated that she had to check my credit. I stated ok and gave her my socical security number. She then put me on hold for a half hour and when she came back she stated that I had to talk to someone else and then she hung up on me. The following monday I called back asking to speak to a manager. The agent stated that he would help me get the service so I said yes. He never put in the order and I was back to square one. A AT&T rep called my roomates phone number asking for me. I stated why are you not calling me on the number i gave you?

no response. She then said I was verified and that I could order service. That never happened. Yesterday June 22, 2020 I obtained my Equifax file online and noticed that AT&T had did 3 hard checks ruining my credit score. I dont have bad credit. I have good credit with one credit card. I was never offered service or an account number. Now!!!! I have AT&T process server, and now we are heading to court. Count one Fraud in a consumer contract,

count 2, violation of fair credit reporting act. (Edited per community guidelines) in the Northern District of California Federal District Court, where there is already a (Edited per community guidelines) against

AT&T for other scams against consumers. I will take legal action. You just ran into someone who can pass the state bar, and who can easily file a (Edited per community guidelines).

Hello @onenicelady,

Thank you for posting on the Business Community.  We greatly apologize for the poor experience you have been receiving.  We want to take a look into this further.  Just to confirm, you mentioned this is for your apartment.  Is this for Residential or Business services?

Thank you.
