How to connect internet using AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G (AC313U) on Ubuntu/Mint?

I just purchased AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G (AC313U). There is LaptopConnect software for Windows and Mac but not for Linux. Has anyone tried installing it successfully on Linux (Ubuntu/Mint)?

How to connect internet using AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G (AC313U) on Ubuntu/Mint?

Thanks and Regards,

Got little further with this using following link.

http://mycusthelp.net/SIERRAWIRELESS/_cs/AnswerDetail.aspx?sSessionID=6D3195B9E6F44D0498DA7021027C39ECMJOZHXWH&aid=44#[3]

Now it is detecting Sierra AC313U card in Network Settings and I am able to add new Mobile Network. Only problem is I am not sure about Username/Password, Network ID etc.

So whenever I am connecting I am getting "Activation of Network Connection failed".

Any pointers are welcome.

Thanks and Regards,

You shouldn't need to use a username and pw for the connection, but you can try username isp.cingular and ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM as the pw. I think the pw has to be in all caps. Hope this gets you connected. Also I have never messed with unbuntu but always hear great things about it got any tips for a newbie?

Removing all the config in Network setting worked. Just kept *99# and 'Broadband'.

@Ubuntu: Its awesome ! You will get addicted to it. There is no such thing called Virus on Ubuntu/Linux Smiley Happy Its fast, internet etc is awesome. To start with, just google Ubuntu and you will get all the help to install it on top of Windows.

Will do, I heard its easy to setup media servers with it, etc. Anything that you don't like/have issues with? Also what kind of speeds are you getting with the pccard?
