You responded with

'Re: Unauthorized Hard Credit Inquiry on Credit Report
Thank you for visiting us on the Business Forum. Please review the below thread for further assistance with credit inquiries:

Questions about Unrecognized Credit Checks and Inquiries"

Which had this statement

"You can contact any of the three major credit bureaus to dispute an AT&T credit check. Once reported, they can work with us to investigate the matter."

The referenced unauthorized credit check was with Equifax.  I contacted Equifax and they stated they received the dispute and that I needed to reach out to you and instruct AT&T to reach out to Equifax to have this Unauthorized Credit Inquiry by AT&T removed from my Equifax credit report.

Please contact Equifax ASAP and have this Unauthorized Credit Inquiry made by AT&T removed from my Equifax Credit Report.

Thanks,

Mike

I had the same problem. I found a hard inquiry on my Equifax from ATT with the same address in 12/02\2018. This is definitely fraudulent.

I'm extremely upset. While checking my credit report I discovered a hard inquiry through Equifax that I did not authorize or ever request. I logged a dispute not once, but twice with no avail. Both times the dispute was just closed without resolving the issue. The hard inquiry wad through AT&T which again I did noy authorize or EVER request. The address for the inquiry provided to me from Equifax 17330 Preston Road, Dallas TX, 75252. I went to this address and unfortunately the location was closed due to it being a Saturday. I have a major suspicion that they are using an office from this building for fraud and to establish fraudulent services. I will make another attempt to make contact by visiting the location during a weekday. I will also be reporting this to the media and NBC because from my research I'm not the only who's been attacked or affected by this fraud.20190105_190444.jpg20190105_190509.jpg

Same thing happened to me. I have been on phone for hours several days. I have contacted AT&T and Equifax. Both places keep giving me the run around. I have contacted local news station and I have an interview tomorrow. This scam will go on no longer without consequence.

Sounds great, maybe you can get them to stop deflecting and actually do something about these Unauthorized Hard Credit Checks made by AT&T.

Let us know if they run a story or need any further input. I'll be happy to speak with them about AT&T's callous indifference.

The same thing has happened to me, twice, last year and again this year and I dont have an ATT account, but I did use Turbo Tax, by Intuit, and I believe this is what did it. Do you use any Intuit product, like Turbo Tax or Quick Books, etc. ?

You need to go right to the top the legal counsel of ATT with your detailed statement. I did they responded and directed Equifax to REMOVE.

Same thing happened to me on 2/11/19. I called and put in request with Equifax. They said they can't do anything. Called AT&T (877.844.5584) and they said a letter was being sent on my behalf to Equifax requesting the inquiry be removed.
