Hi VIP. make sure they send to you also a copy of the letter. Equifax does not work for the consumer they are paid by the agency who authorizes the reports. It takes 30-60 days.

same issue for me. I got an unauthorized inquiry reported by Equifax on 2/20/19 for AT&T at this same 17330 Preston address. Anyone make any progress on this? I've been on the phone for hours and nobody cares. Everyone says to call the other party and nothing will ever get done, how is this legal?????

Put a freeze on your credit report. Then, call the phone number showing under the company credit inquiry and request to speak to the fraud department. If they are using ATT. AT&T needs to be responsible to request for the hard inquiry to be remove from your credit.

Unfortunately Equifax has not been very helpfull on this matter. All what they did was open a research and closed the research the same day. This was done twice.

I don’t know about the credit thing yet but just found out today that ATT had my address as [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.] Preston rd Dallas Texas ever since I signed up in for moble service in December 2018.  I live in Kentucky and have never even been to Texas. Been paying Texas taxes and everything. Make sure you check your bill.  Sounds like a scam to me

I had an unauthorized hard inquiry on March 18, 2019.  I contacted Equifax to dispute the inquiry and get details.  They replied:  The information you disputed has been received. The results are: Inquiries are a factual record of file access. If you believe this was unauthorized, please contact the creditor. If you have additional questions about this item please contact At&T Services, Inc.−Mt, Dallas TX 75252−−606

I went to the AT&T Fraud website page:  https://www.att.com/att/fraud/en/  The MT in mine apparently stands for mobile (877) 844-5584 but I was transferred to Uverse (855) 920-0112.  Sure enough, someone had tried to open a Uverse at an actual address pretending to be me.  Even though AT&T has the actual address, there is nothing that can be done.  AT&T has canceled the installation of service.  They have issued a retraction to Equifax for the hard inquiry.  I am to notify all credit bureaus of the fraud, but nothing will actually be done.  Seems so shady!
