Firstnet is a scam!

I recently switched from verizon to firstnet hearing they take care of first responders. What a mistake that was when I initially signed up they told me I would receive a $200 gift card for switching to there service. I then signed up for a promotion for the samsung 9 where they told me I would only pay 99 cents a month for the phone itself. I received neither. After three months and multiple complaints they sent me a $200 credit. I then proceeded to ask why I haven't received my discount promotion on my phone. They then told me they can't give me it due to receiving the $200 credit! To say the least I will be posting on my union page for the entire Cleveland police department not to use this service so they are not scammed also by false advertising.

I switched from Sprint and was told by the in home salesman that I was going to receive $700 per line to help with the switching costs of cancelling my contract with Sprint. He lied. The $700 per line was a credit on my AT&T bill per line for the trade in on our phones to AT&T. So I ended up getting $200 total on 2 separate cards towards my Sprint bill and the rest was credited on my AT&T bill. Leaving me with over a thousand to pay Sprint. If I had traded my phones into Sprint instead of AT&T I would have saved myself $800 on my Sprint Closeout bill. Instead I believed COREY ***** the salesman and ended up getting screwed. I already sent out a letter to my union about this as well.

Hi, I’m glad we found this forum, we’ve had similar issues.  [Per Guidelines:  Keep it Relevant and Appropriate]. My husband is a first responder and we moved to ATT in May.  The promotion at the time offered $150 first net credit, $25 credit on every bill for the family lines, and 25% discount on every bill for the family lines.  He was also promised a $200 discount if he bought an iPhone 10s (which he did only because of this offer).  After several hours on the phone with customer service and even more in the store, the only credit we have received is the 25% discount- its been 6 months.  Every time we talk to the store manager he is visibly annoyed and tells us he will talk to the district manager.  I’ve emailed the district manager myself and never heard back.

This is by far the worst customer service we’ve ever experienced, it shouldn’t take 6 months and hours of conversations to honor a promotion.

My experience with Firstnet was a total joke. I signed up with them hoping to save money on my monthly phone bill and waited patiently for my sim card to arrive so that I can start using their service. Three weeks roll by and I never got anything in the mail, so I went ahead and called to cancel my order. I was already losing trust in their reliability at this point. When I spoke to the rep they told me I had to pay for the balance on my account, which baffled me! I never even got a chance to use their service and they wanted to charge me for something I never used or received!! As a customer, it made me feel like all they cared about was money. What a scam!
